Nieuws: Two New Ph.D. projects

Egil Asprem, who finishes the Research Master Religious Studies (with specialization in Western esotericism) at the University of Amsterdam this summer, has successfully applied for one of the prestigious "top talent" grants of the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research, and will be appointed as Ph.D. research assistant at GHF for a period of four years, starting on september 1 2008. His project is titled "Esotericism and Scientific Naturalism in the 20th Century: Dialogue and Polemics"

Joyce Pijnenburg, who finished her Master Mysticism and Western Esotericism at the University of Amsterdam last year, will be appointed at the Bibliotheca Philosophica Hermetica for a period of four years,starting on september 1, 2008, and during that period will be affiliated with GHF as a researcher and teacher. The preliminary title of her Ph.D. project is "Imagery and Philosophy of Science in Giordano Bruno's later works".
