The European Society for the Study of Western Esotericism is pleased to invite ESSWE students to participate in this call for application to its next student workshop. For one day (September 17, 2024), the ESSWE’s board would like to give you the opportunity to present your current research and to exchange ideas with Europe’s leading specialists in esoteric studies.
The workshop will be held in Ascona, a Swiss town renowned for its proximity to the Monte Verità site and the Eranos Foundation; guided tours to these places are planned. A hotel has already been approached to accommodate you on site (price per night between CHF 110-140, including breakfast and taxes). However, the association cannot take charge of your reservation or travel arrangements. The costs of your participation at the workshop needs to be covered by your universities, but please note that it is possible to apply for a travel grant provided by ESSWE (see: https://www.esswe.org/Bursaries).
Unlike previous editions, we have chosen this time not to impose a theme or a keynote to this workshop. The aim is to give to as many ESSWE students as possible the opportunity to candidate in a joint reflection on their master’s thesis or PhD dissertation. You will be asked to give a 15-minute presentation, followed by a time for exchange and discussion.
